jun 15, 1767 - Townshend Act
Description:
The Townshend Revenue Acts were made because other laws and taxes weren't earning enough money to pay off Britain's debt from the French and Indian war. The colonists were angry with the new laws and taxes that were being put upon them. After many protests against this act the British government repealed it, except for the tax on tea.
