Description:

After the battle of Yorktown surrender for the British was imminent. Many loyalists already knew this. All throughout the war loyalists had been harassed but now it was either to stay and live in shame and fear of death or leave and live in peace. Many chose to leave. Around 70,000 left america to seek refuge in other British colonies to territories.
