After learning of an impending British occupation of the nearby unoccupied hills of Bunker hill and Breeds hill the Continental's build fortifications overnight. The British attempted to take Breeds hill twice, and twice were pushed back with heavy casualties. On the third push the Continental's are forced to retreat due to running out of ammo.
