apr 1, 1599 - Edict of Nantes

Description:

Was signed by the king of France and granted Huguenots or French Protestants rights in the country. This was done to Grant civil Unity between the Catholics and the Protestants in France, however, this caused Catholics to become more upset and even the Protestants began to take advantage of the new law. However about a hundred years later this was revoked by Louie XIV.
