sep 3, 1937 - Rise of the Irgun and the Fall of Havlagah

Description:

This event involved the rejection of a strategic policy used on the Arabs. This policy was called 'Havlagah', 'The Restraint' in Hebrew. The policy was made with the intention for moves to made against the Arabs attacking the Jewish settlement in Mandatory Palestine. The primary goal was to prevent Jews from taking physical revenge on the Arabs for attacking innocent civilians. This policy was rejected by the Irgun. Irgun was a Zionist unofficial military force whose visions were to attack the Arabs as self-defence, whilst in Mandatory Palestine. Later on, this motivation leads to the event, known as 'Black Sunday'.
