Description:

Signed by King Henry IV, it gave the Calvinist Protestants of France substantial rights in essentially Catholic time. Henry wanted to promote civil unity. It was significant because it ended the Wars of Religion and allowed more religious tolerance which will lead to futer ideas of the Enlightenment.
