apr 19, 1775 - Battles of Lexington and Concord

Description:

On the dawn of April 19, 1775, roughly 700 British troops arrived in Lexington, Massachusetts, only to find 77 militiamen waiting in the city green. To this day, nobody knows who shot first, but after some few shots and after the smoke cleared, eight militiamen were dead, nine militiamen were injured, and only one British soldier was injured. The British then marched to Concord, to find arms, but were met with a much larger force of militiamen, and prepared to march to Boston after four hours.
