In 1984 there is a laboratory in los Llanos with cocaine known as Tranquilandia due to the ease and speed of operation (Dinero, 2013). Because of this discovery, Minister Lara Bonilla is allegedly assassinated by Pablo Escobar, and in a speech given by the president during the funeral, extradition of Colombians to US prisons is reactivated.
