Once Yen Jun-Ling reaches Hong Kong, her stepmother enrolls her in Sacred Heart Convent School, where she will live and attend school. She is one of the smartest girls in the school, so she often moves up in her lessons much quicker than the other girls. She enters a world wide play-writing competition with a play she titles "Gone with the Locusts" which is dedicated to her Ye Ye, because he always believed in her.
