Description:

Britain passed series of laws to punish Boston for the tea party. They closed Boston port until the tea act was paid off. The town meetings in Massachusetts were banned. The British officials accused of crimes would tried in England instead of Massachusetts. A new Quartering act was passed to house troops in Massachusetts. Other colonies came together to help Massachusetts because they believed that it could happen to them to. Colonists called for a meting to take place between all 13 colonies.
