sep 2, 1957 - Little Rock Nine
Description:
Although Brown v. Board said it was unconstitutional to have separate schools based on race, it did not give a date that school integration needed to happen. Little Rock Nine took place at Little Rock (school in AK) where nine African American students were to attend a white school. This resulted in a lot of angry white parents/students/teachers. The national guard was sent in to try and control the situation.
