jan 1, 1786 - Shay's Rebellion
Description:
Shay's Rebellion showed how weak of a federal government the americas had which caused future events to attempt making a stronger government. Shay's rebellion led state representatives to believe that the public could not be trusted and wanted to limit how much power the public had.
As a result of Shay's Rebellion, Representatives had less trust in the public and pushed for national authority rather than local control (states rights) in the constitution.
