Description:

The intolerable Acts were another way for the British to have control. Consequently, the people of the americas began to organize a resistance against the Acts with the 1st Continental Congress. Democracy or a government of public representation was promoted since the Intolerable Acts took away the freedom of the people.

As a result of the Brits taking away the sovereignty from the states of our country, the people saw the importance of local control in the constitution.
