The Stamp Act taxed all paper goods. Newspapers,letters, and legal documents. The elites were most upset. The stamp act congress. The first time they organized complaints about British rule. Taxes without reps became an issue. This caused the creation of the US territory. So if the British didn´t tax a bunch of goods to the colonies then we wouldn´t have the US. This affected the constitution because if the US didn´t want to separate from Britain then we would never have needed to make a constitution. If the Stamp Act hadn't happened then the Townshend Act wouldn ´t have been created and we wouldn´t have had the Intolerable Acts and we eventually just wouldn´t have had the American revolution.
