The first document by the first pilgrims in the US that set up the first representative legislative body. First to bring up self government (sovereignty) and authority of government should come from the people. This could have affected how the government was run. It affected it because they wanted it so that that it was run by the people and not by a monarch. If they had wanted to be more like a Monarch then they could have just stayed part of the British colony. It changed the constitution because it modified how the people thought about how they were represented in the government if at all.
