The articles of Confederation, they were formally known as the Articles of Confederation and the Perpetual Union. It was an agreement among the 13 original states of the U.S it served as its first constitution.

-Because of the article of confederation we are $40 million in war debt, this caused us not being able to pay our military and had to print more $$$ and this caused the value to go down.
-The Articles of Confederation was weak this caused to make poor decisions, and it is really hard to raise an army.
- In a result of the Articles of Confederation being weak, the econ problem became tremendous and we could not regulate trade between others.
-this resulted in Shay's Rebellion.
