dec 25, 1772 - Antoine Lavoisier (1772-1794)
Description:
Antoine Lavoisier was great when it came to experimentation. He was responsible for the first real breakthrough in studying chemical reactions; he discovered that mass is conserved in a chemical reaction. In a chemical reaction, the total mass of the products beforehand remain the same after undergoing the process of the reaction. Lavoisier's results led to the law of conservation of matter where mass is conserved, not being able to be created nor destroyed.
