The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson, who was influenced by John Locke's philosophy. He also helped with the French and Indian War to help declare independence from Britain. Sam Adams also helped with the moving and helping America. As well as George Washington which he was the general of the continental army called Militia which were groups of volunteers that trained as if they were in the military. The Declaration of Independence was the document written in 1776 in which colonies declared independence from Britain. Benjamin Franklin was a famous enlightenment figure which was wealthy and had many effects. Which the Parliament was England's chief lawmaking body which helped with the decision. Also, Patrick Henry helped with the Declaration of Independence by giving his speech about give me right or give me death which helped gain rights.
