Description:

The AoC was very weak and inacted tariffs that farmers couldn't pay off, which resulted in Shay's Rebellion where angry farmers revolted. Showed that a unicameral congress did not work as a government for the constitution and that making laws were difficult when they required 2/3 majority of votes.

As a result of the AoC, farmers were not able to pay their taxes and they reacted with Shay's rebellion that pushed for national authority rather than local control (states rights) in the constitution.
