jan 1, 1774 - 1st Continental Congress

Description:

The 1st Continental Congress organized boycotts of British goods to revolt against the Intolerable Acts. Consequently, King George had "Blows to be dealt" that resulted in the Revolution.

The 1st Continental Congress retaliated back against the Intolerable Acts and King George III responded with the American Revolutionary War. Therefore, the strengths and weaknesses of national government and local control are shown and shows that there needs to be a balance of each in the constitution.
