The Sons of Liberty was a secret organization which was founded on June 7, 1765. The main goal for the Sons of Liberty was to stop taxation from Britain and to advance the rights of the colonists. For instance, Samuel Adams led the Sons of Liberty disguised as Mohawk Indians to dump boxes of tea over the Boston Harbor. They were the masterminds of the Boston Tea Party. Their main goal was to undermine British rule in Colonial America.
