aug 8, 1918 - Harry Miner, a 27-year old farmer from Ontario, rushed three enemy posts, and attacked two of them himself, using an enemy machine gun. He then raided a enemy bombing post, before being killed by a German grenade. He was then awarded the Victoria Cross, the British Empire's highest award for military honour.
