Pizarro led one of them most important expeditions of the Spanish colonization of the new world with his venture to conquer the Incas around 1533. Pizarro's conquering took multiple decades to complete. After Pizarro finally finished the conquest of the Incas the Spanish then sent more people to spin off campaigns into surrounding areas in present-day Chile and Columbia. This conquest also led to the overall destruction of Native American societies throughout South America caused by the widespread disease the Pizarro and his mean gave to the natives and the overall terrible treatment of the natives.
