may 6, 1765 - Quartering
Act
Description:
The Quartering Act was an act forced upon colonists that meant that they had to supply British troops with their needed supples. Some of these supplies were housing and other items such as candles, firewood, etc. The colonists were forced to do this in order to "thank" the British troops for fighting in the Seven Years War and defeating the French.
