dec 7, 1941 - Pearl Harbor
Description:
It was a major surprise attack on American Soil. This affected America socially because they had a new found pride in their nation, the pride of War itself, To defeat the Axis Powers and win the War. Hitler responded to the attack of Pearl Harbor with this response, “We can’t lose the war at all. We now have an ally which has never been conquered in 3,000 years,” a jubilant Hitler said, as recounted in Mr. Kershaw’s authoritative biography of the German leader. This was the final straw in America’s idealistic nature of staying out of War. Japan brought America into the War, because they killed thousands of American people. The United States had enough, and so they reacted with declaring War, and thus began WW2.
