Description:

The Townshends acts were a series of acts passed by the British parliament. The acts that were passed at the time were The New York Restraining Act, The Revenue Act, The Indemnity Act, The Commissioners of Customs Act and The Vice Admiralty Court Act. These acts were put in place mainly to pay the governors and other political officials so they will remain loyal to England.
