at the end of 1976, the Ronald Wayne logo was replaced by the famous rainbow apple, an original challenge by Rob Janoff that was used as the image of Apple for 23 years. It is rumored that the bite of the logo is a tribute to Alan Turing, the father of modern computer science who committed suicide by eating an apple poisoned with cyanide.
