Description:
After 1934, Hitler knew that the only body of Germany which could pose as a threat to his rule was the army, and its consequential loyalty towards Hitler. Therefore, he went about acquiring such overtime, but rather slowly.
Most of the Army believed in Hitlers law and order, and his Nationalist aspirations. It was only in 1938, when these sentiments were strong enough to a point where Hitler felt he could make use of them.
In 1938, Hitler dismisses War minister General Von Blomberg, on accounts of prostitution extortion, and Commander in Chief Von Fritsch, on grounds of homosexuality. This paved the way for Hitler to become War Minister, reigning as the Army's supreme Commander.
