mar 1, 1933 - 1933 German Election
Description:
Up until this point, Hitler and the NSDAP gained plenty of momentum to try and attain a majority in Reichstag party leadership. To further his campaign, Joseph Goebbels was elected as propaganda minister, creating more anti-communist sentiment throughout Germany.
The Nazi's gained a substantial amount of votes, accumulating 43.9% of them. However this was still not enough for a majority needed to form a government.
Nevertheless, a majority coalition was formed after the election (with the DNVP - German National People's Party), confirming Hitler as Chancellor.
