jan 7, 1920 - 1920s Red Scare and National Origins Act

Description:

The Red Scare was when Americans thought the immigrants were a threat. They thought that they were going to start a strike and start a revolution.
Americans thought that immigrants would take control of the American government. They thought that they had to do something to protect their government.
They created the National Origins Act. This made it that only a certain percent of immigrants from certain countries could come.
