There was a large group of unemployed citizens. The Scots-Irish came because they didn’t like the truancy of British rule. Also, some of the immigrants had trouble growing food in their past country.
They came because of farmland, and the possibility of finding farmland.
Most of these immigrants went to Boston and New Hampshire.
