Description:
The McCarran Act was established to limit the threat of communists. It allowed only certain amounts of people from different countries to be allowed to immigrate into the U.S. If anyone was in suspicousions to be a communist they were not allowed to enter into the U.S. This impacted immigration because it limited the number of immigrants allowed into the U.S.
