Between 13,000 and 21,000 Puritans sailed to Massachusetts. The Puritans came to the New World for religious freedom. “The Puritans left England primarily due to religious persecution but also for economic reasons as well.” When they landed they created what they needed in their new life and were successful. “The colony became the largest colony in New England and was hugely successful.” This affects immigration in the United States because now even more people are successful in moving to the New World which will cause more people to come.
