may 21, 1950 - The McCarran Act

Description:

The McCarran-Walter Act revised US immigration laws and skewed the nature of quotas. The act removed previously established racial barriers. It allowed Japanese and Chinese immigrants to come to America. In December 1952 the new legislation was passed.
