Joey had a best friend Brittany. They both became obsessed with a little thing called YouTube. They looked watching a YouTuber called Brookers, she had around 40 to 50 thousand subscribers, which in 2007 that is huge. The most important thing for them was that Brookers had the same sense of humor and she also lived in Massachusetts. This made being a YouTuber seen more plausible.
They decided to make a channel. They were sitting in his kitchen brainstorming ideas for channel names. Joey was going through Google Images looking for ideas when he came across a picture of a tree, one half full bloom in green and the other half barren with snowflakes falling on it. He showed Brittany the picture and said the name could be WinterSpring Productions.
Their first video was called Humanation. They made it stop-motion so it looked like they were moving without it seeming like they were actually moving. They spent 9 hours recording it. Then, after they finally got done filming it, they spent another 5 hours editing it and uploading it to YouTube.
