Description:
An essential reason the American Revolution ended as it did was France, who provided Americans with soldiers and supplies. This alliance officially began with the Treaty of Amity and Commerce and the Treaty of Alliance. Both of these were signed on the 6th of February 1778 The Treaty of Amity and Commerce encouraged trade between France and America and recognized America as its own country. The Treaty of Alliance joined France into the American Revolution.
