0h 1min, aug 19, 2041 y - Yellowstone Volcano errupts
Description:
Project Boreas, although getting off to a good start, quickly went very wrong: on the 19th of August, only 6 months after the start of drilling operations, one of the drilling probes, unfortunately placed due to a combination of political pressure to preserve certain areas of the park, and a minor miscalculation following a location change, hit the outer wall of a particularly volatile magma nape. This instantly released great mounts of toxic and explosive gas, leading to a full scale eruption of Yellowstone's volcano within a matter of hours.
