sep 26, 1937 - Resumed Arab Revolt
Description:
With the failure of the implementation of the Peel Commission, the revolt resumed in Autumn of 1937. It was during this time that the five Arab leaders of Palestine were arrested and deported to Seychelles. With this, all frontiers of Palestine were closed, all telephone connections with neighbouring countries were withdrawn, and press censorship was implemented. The Jewish side fought back with British forces setting up military courts, which were created for the offences caused by loosely held firearms policies. Despite this, the Arab acts of violence and terrorism re-occurred.
