Description:

Needless to say, the word caught wind surprisingly fast. People filled the small house, out into the street in all directions, wonder on their faces, edging forward to catch a glimpse of Saroo. Kamla pulled out a mobile phone, dialing various people, including Saroo's true siblings-Kallu, his second-oldest brother, and Shekila, his once baby sister he used to look after. "Sheru! Sheru!"

Saroo had been apparently mispronouncing his name from the start, drudged up by his 5 year old mind and English tongue. "Sheru" meant "Lion". Anyways, he will always be "Saroo".

That night, Saroo had found out that Guddu, his eldest brother, had died the same night Saroo got locked in the train for Kolkata. Losing two sons in a night, there was still a bittersweetness, as he found out; Kallu and Shekila both were able to go to school, becoming a factory manager and teacher.

Saroo, during his return to India, recounted his childhood to the point of the streets-walking down the streets of Kolkata, revisiting Nava Jeevan and even Liluah. It was all at rest.

Saroo now keeps contact with his Indian family via computer, and makes frequent trips between India and Australia.
