Saroo has a last cup of coffee at the airport with Lisa and his mother. And on February 11th, 2012, he's back in Indore, India, for a round 2. Even though he had returned to his native soil, the country itself didn't seem to give him a "warm" welcome. With what his barely educated 5 year old mind already knew in the first place, 25 years of being an Australian topped it all.

Khandwa was a 2 hour drive from Indore, and Saroo took a taxi to Hotel Grand Barrack. After going through a reckless taxi driver who was paid no tip, and nervous energy seeming to sap, Saroo took a brief rest at the hotel.
After sitting-while-moving for hours on cars and planes, his feet carried his jet-lagged self through the streets on autopilot.
