Description:

On July 14th 1789, a state prison in the eastern region of Paris was attacked by an angry mob of people. Known as Bastille, the prison showed the people the royal authority and their power. The people wanted some gunpowder from the inner prison and fought to get it. The king gathers troops and fells threatened and sends them out to where the event would now occur. Because the public heard there was a massacre coming they fought back and destroyed to prison. Now the prison is a symbol showing the Monarchy's abuse of power
