Dennis Martin a six year old child from Knoxville, Tennessee was visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with his father and grandfather and older brother on Fathers Day in 1969. While Martin was playing hide-and-seek in an open field with his brother and other children. He was last seen behind a bush to hide and as his brother was going to catch him, he went slightly farther into the bush, which was the last anyone has seen of Dennis Martin. His disappearance caused a gigantic search for him, with 1400 searchers in a 56 mile area. Strangely, Dennis's clothes were found 17 miles south neatly placed on a stump. According to Dennis Martin's father, William Martin, the field was flat and open and the bush was in the center of the field and would be practically impossible for him to run away without people noticing. Strangely, the same day in the same area, they heard a loud scream and saw an animal that looked like a bear crossed with a man holding a child in it's arms.
