Description:

Anthrax was found in letters with anthrax spores. These letters were mailed to two U.S. Senator offices. Four letters were recovered, however the powder from the letters that had anthrax contaminated postal offices that it went through. People were unaware that this attack was happening, thus many people got sick. About 11 cases of inhalation anthrax and 11 cases of cutaneous anthrax were confirmed. 5 of the 22 cases died. Investigation went on for as long as 7 years to find out who may have sent these letters contaminated with anthrax.
