- The Renewable Energy Directive set a new target for the UK, to achieve 15% of it energy sources from renewable sources by 2020.
- Which compares to the 1.5% in 2005.
- Being able to meet to targeted goal in 2020 some of the landmarks for this goal are around 30% of electricity demand, including 2% from small-scale sources, 12% of heat demand, and 10% of transport demand.
