jul 14, 1789 - The storming of the Bastille

Description:

The storming of the Bastille is when the third estate finally takes action by freeing all of 7 prisoners and more importantly stealing gunpowder from the Bastille. Then with they're bare hands they tore down the Bastille as a message to the king. They also killed the governor of the Bastille and marched his head on a pole through the streets of Paris. This is a very important day because most people believe it to mark the beginning of the French revolution. Bastille day a holiday in all of France that is still celebrated to mark this occasion.
