Description:
After a period of raiding, almost teasing, Sherman’s supply lines and outposts, The Confederate army under John Bell Hood attacked Schofield’s Union troops. The casualties on the Confederate side are devastating, Hood loses 6 of his most important generals. Needless to say, this battle is another Union win, the Union only suffered about 2.200 casualties (200 dead, 2000 wounded). However, the Union troops do retreat back towards Nashville
