Description:

Essentially the continuing of the battle of Sabine Crossroads. An attempt by the Union Army to take over Shreveport. Both sides were reinforced after the battle the previous day and the Confederates decided to attack. Both sides suffered high casualties which led to Union soldiers losing moral and retreating. Another Confederacy win during the Red River campaign.
