feb 22, 1865 - Closure of Wilmington Port

Description:

By the fall of 1864, the only major seaport that remained open to the Confederacy was port Wilmington in North Carolina. After many battles the Union got the port under their command in 1865, 22nd of February. This meant that the confederation was completely cut off from any foreign support that was still left.
