Description:

Alexandre Yersin was a swiss doctor who worked with Pasteur in France. He was involved in the plague outbreak in China. He founded Yersinia Pestis bacterium and had to prove that it caused the black plague. He punctured bubo on groin and collected fluid sample from lymph node of the sailor who died from the plague. He injected fluid into the healthy guinea pigs and soon after, they died. The same bacteria observed from the sailor was recovered from guinea pigs.
