oct 16, 1793 - Execution and Death of Marie Antoinette
Description:
Soon after, Queen Marie Antoinette was convicted of High Treason, and sentenced to death. Before that, she spent two months waiting for her trial under subpar living conditions in a dungeon. Her inane and ridiculous spending habits combined with her apathy for the common people left her as a very unpopular Queen and is one of the reasons she was put to death.
